THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a fast-growing Vancouver-based company at the forefront of acquisitions, where your technical accounting expertise will directly support high-impact transactions, finance transformation initiatives, and the integration of newly acquired businesses.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is ideal for a hands-on CPA who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys solving complex accounting and operational challenges. You will play a critical role across acquisition accounting, multi-entity consolidations, inventory accounting, free cash flow analysis, and post-acquisition integration initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead accounting for business combinations under ASPE, including purchase price allocations and acquisition-related accounting
  • Prepare technical accounting memos and support complex accounting conclusions
  • Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting across an expanding corporate structure
  • Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired entities, including alignment of accounting policies, controls, reporting processes, and ERP/system workflows
  • Partner closely with operations and supply chain teams on inventory accounting, costing, inventory controls, and inventory-related analysis
  • Prepare and analyze free cash flow reporting, working capital trends, and operational finance metrics to support leadership decision-making
  • Assist with financial due diligence and transaction support throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and system implementations or upgrades
  • Own key areas of the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare working papers and liaise directly with external auditors
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability within a high-growth environment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, operations, tax advisors, and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS
  • CPA designation required
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
  • Experience with inventory accounting, costing, or manufacturing/distribution environments strongly preferred
  • Proven experience with consolidations and multi-entity accounting structures
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or onboarding of new entities
  • Exposure to ERP implementations, finance systems upgrades, or process automation initiatives considered a strong asset
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including cash flow and working capital analysis
  • Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or finance automation tools is an asset
  • Big 4/public practice background or relevant industry experience preferred
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Willingness to support peak periods including month-end, year-end, and acquisition activity
