KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a mixed residential and commercial portfolio, ensuring properties are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and capital projects
- Build and maintain strong tenant relationships through responsive communication and professional service
- Manage tenant requests, lease administration, renewals, notices, and tenancy matters in compliance with the BC Residential Tenancy Act
- Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors, and site staff to ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, rent collections, and operational reporting
- Respond to operational and tenant-related issues, including occasional after-hours emergencies
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and operational support to on-site staff while contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Serve as a key resource for complex operational, tenant, and building-related matters while supporting the continued growth of the portfolio and team
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3–5+ years of property management experience within residential and/or commercial portfolios
- Strong operational knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and property operations
- Solid understanding of the BC Residential Tenancy Act and tenancy processes
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and service providers
- Strong leadership potential with the ability to mentor and support team members
- Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office; Yardi experience considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving ability with sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Professional, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred
