A well-established, privately held distributor of industrial supply products is seeking an Représentant des ventes extérieures to grow and support business across the Kansas City market. This opportunity is ideal for a driven outside sales professional who enjoys being in the field, building new accounts, strengthening existing relationships, and representing a solutions-focused product portfolio in a highly technical industry.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers within your territory, managing relationships face-to-face while actively developing new business. You’ll work closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure exceptional service, from initial opportunity through delivery.

What You’ll Do:
  • Prospect and develop new customer accounts through cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person visits
  • Manage and grow existing accounts by identifying new applications and sales opportunities
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers across industrial and commercial markets
  • Close daily sales opportunities and continuously expand the customer base
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams and management regarding orders, opportunities, and customer needs
  • Maintain and grow technical knowledge of performance plastics, products, and applications
  • Follow up on leads and application-driven opportunities
  • Contribute to overall branch and team success through collaboration and accountability
Ce que vous apportez :
  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience in industrial distribution, or a related field
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Comfort working independently in a territory-based, travel-heavy role
  • Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight travel
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a proactive sales mindset
