Our client, a highly respected distributor of building material supplies, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team in Salt Lake City. This is a full-time, onsite role within a high-performing, tight-knit team known for strong tenure and supporting internal progression and development.

The Role
- Provide high-quality customer service to existing clients and accounts
- Respond to inbound sales and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Process and enter sales orders accurately
- Resolve order-related issues including delays, credits, and returns
- Support and collaborate with internal teams across logistics, warehouse, and purchasing
- Actively sell into and grow an assigned account base that does not require outside/field sales coverage
- Develop strong product knowledge across a range of building materials supplies
- Communicate product features, applications, and benefits to customers
- Provide day-to-day support to the Outside Sales team, with the view to joining that team in the near/mid term future
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and supply partners
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to operational efficiency
- Experience in a customer facing role (sales, retail, hospitality, etc), with an interest and willingness to learn, absorb, ask questions, and work cross-functionally to develop your knowledge and experience
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve issues independently
- Interest in sales and relationship development
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a proactive, positive, and accountable approach to work
