Our client, a well-established and growing provider of Building Envelope materials, is looking for a Directeur général to lead their Edmonton and Acheson operations.
This is not a traditional operations-only GM role. They are specifically looking for someone with a strong sales background who can drive revenue, build relationships, and lead from the front while still owning the full operation.
The Opportunity
You will take full ownership of two locations — Acheson and Edmonton — overseeing both distribution and production functions. This role carries full responsibility across sales, operations, and financial performance.
The business is in growth mode, with a clear objective to scale significantly over the next 3-5 years. This role will be central to that growth — driving new business, strengthening existing accounts, and ensuring both locations are aligned and positioned to support expansion.
What You'll Be Responsible For
$120,000 - $135,000 base
Plus bonus, full benefits, car allowance, and RRSP

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Full P&L ownership across both locations, including budgeting, forecasting, margins, and cost control
- Leading sales and operations teams (inside sales, outside sales, warehouse, and production) across Edmonton and Acheson
- Driving top-line growth through business development, relationship building, and market expansion
- Aligning production, inventory, and sales across both sites to meet demand and improve efficiency
- Building and leading a high-performing, accountable team across multiple locations
- Acting as a key point of contact with contractors, builders, and industry partners in the Edmonton market
- Identifying and executing on growth opportunities within the region
- Leadership experience within Lumber & Building Materials or building envelope products
- Strong sales background with the ability to drive revenue and grow market share
- Proven P&L ownership and financial management experience
- Experience leading multi-site operations (or similar scale)
- Ability to scale operations while maintaining structure and service levels
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
- Leads from the front and is visible across both locations
- Strong relationship builder, internally and externally
- Results-driven with a focus on accountability
- Comfortable balancing growth with operational discipline
