Our client, a well-established and growing provider of Building Envelope materials, is looking for a Directeur général to lead their Crossfield operation.
This is not a traditional operations-only GM role. They are specifically looking for someone with a strong sales background who can drive revenue, build relationships, and lead from the front while still owning the full operation.
The Opportunity
You will take full ownership of a combined distribution and production facility, with responsibility for performance across sales, operations, and financials.
The business is in growth mode, with a clear goal of doubling over the next 3–5 years. This role will be key in making that happen — driving new business, strengthening existing relationships, and ensuring the operation can scale effectively.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
$120,000 – $135,000 base
Plus bonus, full benefits, car allowance, and RRSP

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Full P&L ownership including budgeting, forecasting, margins, and cost control
- Leading both sales and operations teams (inside sales, outside sales, warehouse, and production)
- Driving top-line growth through customer relationships, market expansion, and business development
- Aligning production, inventory, and sales to meet demand and maximize efficiency
- Building a strong, accountable team culture focused on performance and execution
- Acting as a key point of contact with contractors, builders, and industry partners
- Identifying market opportunities and executing on growth strategies
- Leadership experience within Lumber & Building Materials or building envelope products
- Strong sales background with the ability to drive revenue and build relationships
- Proven P&L ownership and financial management experience
- Experience leading both operations and commercial teams
- Ability to scale a business while maintaining discipline and service levels
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
- Leads from the front, not behind a desk
- Strong communicator who builds trust internally and externally
- Results-driven with a focus on accountability
- Comfortable balancing growth with operational structure
