Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 Base + Uncapped Commission
OUR CLIENT
A well-established organization operating within the lighting and design sector is seeking an Account Executive to support its growing presence in the Edmonton market. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by design-driven environments and motivated to contribute to visually impactful residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will work closely with members of the architecture and design community, providing consultative guidance on lighting concepts, product selection, and technical considerations. This position is highly relationship-oriented, requiring regular engagement with interior designers, architects, engineers, builders, and end users to support projects from early concept through execution. The goal is to become a valued resource and long-term partner within the design ecosystem.
Daily responsibilities include developing new business opportunities, delivering polished and engaging presentations, and collaborating with internal teams to prepare pricing, manage specifications, and support project delivery. The role is primarily field-based, involving frequent site visits and in-person meetings with key stakeholders across the city.
Desired Experience & Attributes:
- 2–3 years of experience in a results-driven sales role
- Background in architectural, decorative, or commercial lighting, with exposure to design professionals
- Ability to interpret design documentation and lighting layouts
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Confident presenter with a consultative sales approach
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to spend the majority of working time meeting clients outside the office
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Education in design, business, or a related field considered an asset (or equivalent experience)
