We are currently seeking an experienced sales professional to join our client in a key Territory Sales position covering the Ottawa market. Our client are an established building materials manufacturer who provides interior finishing products to single-family and multi-family development. 

This Territory Sales role is accountable for growing awareness and market share on behalf of the brand in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario (Cornwall, Prembroke, Kingston). The role will inherit a well-managed, active book of account and clients, with lots of opportunity to grow and expand market share further. 

The successful candidate will develop long-term, strategic relationships with key Developers, Designers, General Contractors, and Distributors within the region. The role is unique in its management of the full end-to-end ecosystem of the multi-family development, and will work closely with senior-level decision-makers at the developer & builder level, as well as with Architects & Interior Designers. The Territory Sales Representative position will really suit an individual that enjoys seeing a design/build project right through to completion. 

We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter who can work independently and who has some prior sales or territory management experience (any product or industry will be considered). Someone who understands the construction market and specifically the inter-dependent relationship between developers, designers, contractors, and distributors would be advantageous, but is not required. Full training and support for the right individual is provided via strong sales leadership.

Expérience
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in a B2B sales role or Territory Management position with a proven track record of success
  • Experience in a CRM environment an asset
  • Experience in retails is an asset

Technical & Professional Abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Track record of returning value to audiences and does not rely heavily on price-driven execution
  • Strong computer knowledge and command using MS Office Suite
