With a flagship project scheduled to break ground shortly, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Site Superintendent.
 
Job Summary:
As the Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of multi-family, mixed-use projects across the Lower Mainland, starting with a 6 story, wood-frame project in Ladner.
 
You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will lead and manage the construction team, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide overall on-site management and coordination of multi-family residential construction projects from start to finish.
  2. Oversee and manage construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety.
  3. Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  4. Ensure that construction projects are executed in compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
  5. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.
  6. Manage and supervise the construction team, including subcontractors and laborers, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  7. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, identify deficiencies, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  8. Collaborate with the project management team to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures.
  9. Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies as required.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and change orders.
  11. Foster a culture of safety on-site by enforcing all health and safety regulations and promoting safe work practices.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to multi-family residential construction.
Qualifications:
  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as Site Superintendent in multi-family residential construction projects.
  2. Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Vancouver, BC.
  3. Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  4. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
