ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will lead project delivery from concept through construction across a range of project scales and types. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, contribute to design excellence, and help shape the vision and culture of the studio.
This role is ideal for an experienced design professional who enjoys strategic leadership, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining strong hands-on design involvement.

KEY RSPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage projects from schematic design through construction documentation and administration
- Develop innovative and contextually responsive design solutions for residential, commercial, and institutional environments
- Coordinate closely with internal design teams and external consultants (architects, engineers, urban designers, planners)
- Ensure design quality, technical excellence, and project delivery in line with client expectations and budgets
- Prepare and oversee production of design drawings, specifications, reports, and presentation materials
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering professional growth and design thinking
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business development initiatives
- Advocate for sustainable design principles and best practices in all aspects of project work
- 10+ years of professional landscape architecture experience with significant responsibility on complex projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence across residential, commercial, and institutional project types
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA)
- Exceptional design sensibility with the ability to create well-resolved, creative outcomes
- Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven leadership skills and experience supervising design teams
- Solid technical knowledge of materials, grading, planting design, and detailing
- Comfortable with project management, scheduling, and client relations
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, or similar)
- Leadership position with strong influence on design direction
