Role Overview
The Sales Manager - Edmonton will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of sales professionals, including contract sales representatives, sales coordinators, and counter sales staff. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this individual will ensure achievement of annual targets and implement structure, accountability, and process discipline within the sales function.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires deep knowledge of the lumber and building materials industry, strong decision-making ability, and the interpersonal skills to inspire and guide a team during a period of cultural renewal.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals, including contract salespeople, sales coordinators, and counter sales.
- Build accountability through structured meetings, pipeline reviews, and forecasting.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and re-forecasting on a monthly basis.
- Implement sales processes, pipeline management, and prepare for future CRM adoption.
- Provide subject matter expertise in lumber to support the team in tactical decision-making.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company with professionalism in the Edmonton market, with limited travel to Calgary as needed.
- Partner with leadership to restructure and strengthen the Edmonton sales operation.
- Progressive sales experience in lumber and building materials; leadership experience required.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and implement structured sales processes.
- Strong analytical, decisive, and strategic thinker with the ability to make tactical decisions.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial acumen; P&L experience an asset.
- CRM and sales pipeline management experience (asset, not requirement).
- Excellent interpersonal skills—empathetic listener, able to build trust and motivate teams.
- Reputation for integrity, credibility, and deep knowledge of the Edmonton building materials market.
