Our client is an established building materials manufacturer (interiors) with a strong brand, market momentum, and a clear plan for the future. They are focused on investing in their people, strengthening their leadership team, and putting the right talent in the right roles to support continued expansion across Canada and the US. Western Canada currently an established region with significant untapped opportunity for further grow under the direction of an experienced leader.

They are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director for Western Canada (Provinces; BC, AB, SK, MB). Reporting to senior management, the role will suit an individual who pairs strategic thinking with strong people leadership. You will take a collaborative approach to growing market share, strengthening customer partnerships, and developing a high performing sales team. The position supports an established team of Territory Managers across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead sales performance across Western Canada
• Coach, mentor, and develop a regional sales team, adding additional Reps in high potential markets and segments as appropriate
• Support Territory Managers through field visits, customer meetings, pipeline development planning, and ongoing guidance
• Work with internal teams to support shared commercial goals
• Build and strengthen customer relationships
• Set and achieve sales targets to drive revenue growth
• Improve sales processes including pricing, quoting, and inventory coordination
• Develop market specific sales, product, and marketing plans
• Review data to identify trends and customer opportunities
• Attend industry and promotional events to support customer engagement
• Deliver training on sales techniques and product knowledge to the team
• Monitor competitive activity in the region
• Build business cases for additional hires, regional expansion, and other commercial initiatives



Required Experience

• This role requires a leader with seven or more years of proven experience leading an outside sales team, with at least five of those years in the building materials or LBM industry.
• Strong problem solving, commercial acumen, and coaching skills
• Ability to set clear goals and hold the team accountable
• Financial acumen to accurately budget, forecast, and report to leadership
• Flexible to travel as required - circa. 25% to support the regional team, and attend head office meetings.
• Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle


The compensation package will include a competitive base salary, annual bonuses, car allowance, gas, expenses, RRSP matching, health & dental benefits.
