The Right Fit

The Real Estate and Construction Manager reports to senior leadership and works closely with development, construction operations, finance, and external partners. This is a dual-role position combining real estate development oversight with construction operations leadership. Success requires strong project execution skills, financial discipline, and comfort operating across office and active construction sites. The role provides long-term growth through expanded leadership scope and portfolio responsibility.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Identify and evaluate development, redevelopment, and enhancement opportunities
  • Prepare feasibility studies, proformas, schedules, budgets, and cash flow analyses
  • Lead development projects from concept through completion
  • Coordinate internal teams including construction, design, leasing, legal, and asset management
  • Manage municipal engagement, approvals, rezoning, and permitting processes
  • Support project financing, incentives, tax credits, and partnership structures
  • Oversee construction operations in collaboration with senior construction leadership
  • Monitor project performance, cost control, schedules, and profitability
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight of construction field staff when required
  • Manage risk related to safety, staffing, scheduling, financial, and operational exposure
What You Bring to the Table
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in real estate development or construction leadership
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of construction operations and development finance
  • Experience managing complex, multi-phase projects
  • Proven ability to lead teams across office and field environments
  • Strong knowledge of municipal processes and stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to manage budgets, contracts, labour, and project financial performance
