Can you anticipate what the business will need before it becomes a problem?

We're recruiting an experienced Purchasing & Materials Manager for an established highly respected organization that continues to invest in its operations and long-term growth.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant ownership.

You'll connect purchasing, inventory, suppliers and customer demand to ensure the right materials are available at the right time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Analyze inventory, usage and sales activity to anticipate material requirements
• Determine what to buy, how much and when
• Work with sales and operations to understand upcoming demand
• Issue RFQs and evaluate pricing, availability and lead times
• Negotiate supplier pricing, terms and agreements
• Manage purchase orders and incoming materials through delivery
• Identify shortages, excess inventory and supply risks
• Use Excel and ERP/MRP systems to support purchasing and inventory decisions
• Improve purchasing processes and inventory utilization

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, materials management, inventory planning or supply chain within manufacturing
• Experience purchasing raw materials, components or industrial products
• Strong inventory and materials planning skills
• Experience with RFQs and supplier negotiation
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Experience with international sourcing, imports, freight, landed costs, supplier contracts or commodity purchasing is an asset.
