Intermediate Interior Designer - Victoria Studio
We're seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer with a strong track record in hospitality design (restaurants & hotels) and standout work in single-family residential projects. Multi-family experience is an asset. You'll lead and coordinate consultants on complex projects with minimal supervision, collaborate across offices, and mentor junior designers.
What you'll do
- Lead large-scale, complex interior design projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment.
- Establish and maintain primary client contacts, manage external coordination, and assign tasks to project partners to hit objectives.
- Oversee construction documents and technical detail work, including drawings standards and compliance with building codes.
- Mentor and develop studio team members; champion continuing education, site visits, lectures, and design critiques.
- Lead the adoption and integration of innovative processes, technologies, and best practices to position the team as an industry leader.
- Maintain deep subject matter expertise in at least one practice sector while staying current on trends and market shifts.
- Manage project scope and fees, track costs, and ensure monthly billings for self and project teams.
- Source materials and products with strong sourcing acumen.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience; NCIDQ certification considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, and AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is a plus.
- Strong design sensibilities with a passion for hospitality and residential interiors; capable of leading and inspiring teams.
- Excellent client-facing communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Deep understanding of Building Codes and materials sourcing; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and outcomes.
