Position overview
DMC Recruitment is actively building a talent pipeline of Civil Engineers for future roles with leading contractors, developers, and consulting engineering firms in BC. Key responsibilities (typical civil roles in BC)

• Support planning, design, and/or construction of land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, or site servicing projects.
• Prepare or review drawings, specifications, and technical reports, collaborating closely with project managers and field teams.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory submissions, and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction in BC.
• Provide construction-phase support, including RFIs, shop drawing review, site inspections, and progress documentation.
• Contribute to quality, safety, and environmental standards on active projects.

Ideal background

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• EIT, P.Eng, or eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
• Experience in one or more of: land development, municipal/urban infrastructure, roads/highways, utilities, or site development for buildings.
• Exposure to working with or for general contractors, engineering consultants, or developers in BC is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in multi-disciplinary project teams.
