Business Development Manager - Architectural Solutions

Location: Toronto, ON (Office-Based with Flexibility)
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 + commission

The Opportunity

Our client is a leading provider of workplace and architectural solutions and is seeking a Business Development Manager, Architectural Solutions to support continued growth in the Toronto market.
This role leads business development efforts across architectural walls, modular solutions, and commercial furniture. The successful candidate will leverage strong industry knowledge and established relationships to generate new opportunities, guide clients through complex solution-based sales, and achieve assigned revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the architectural solutions and commercial interiors market
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategic sales initiatives aligned with company growth objectives
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including conceptual discussions, solution development, quoting, specification, and closing
  • Act as the initial point of contact for new clients, guiding them toward integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions
  • Manage key accounts and foster long-term client relationships
Market Engagement
  • Maintain a consistent and professional presence in the Toronto market
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights
  • Represent our client at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, project managers, general contractors, commercial real estate brokers, and corporate decision-makers
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during early planning and design phases
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support project delivery and client satisfaction
  • Ensure clients are informed of project progress and key timelines
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in business development or consultative sales within architectural solutions, contract furniture, modular construction, or related industries
  • Strong professional network within the A&D, commercial construction, or real estate community
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience in the contract office furniture industry is considered an asset
