Greater Toronto AreaWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead a keystone branch within the GTA of this Building Materials Distribution company. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of branch operations and sales, both commercial and residential.
The ideal candidate will have previous branch management experience within the building materials industry, a strong understanding of the contractor market, and the ability to manage salespeople and sales processes. The successful candidate must be able to maximize performance and take advantage of the huge upside for growth and expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all branch operations and sales, including inventory management, delivery, sales, and customer service
- Manage the order desk, warehouse, trucks, drivers, and outside salespeople
- Manage P&L and report to senior management
- Manage staffing and hire top talent to support growth and success
- Understand the contractor market and develop relationships with contractors
- Maximize sales opportunities and expand the business within the designated region
Requirements:
- Previous branch management experience within the building materials industry/construction or someone with an entrepreneurial spirit (owned and operated their own business)
- Proven success in managing salespeople and sales processes
- Strong understanding of the contractor market and how to sell to and service contractor relationships
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage inventory, delivery, and customer service
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
