A leading manufacturer in the structural building materials space is seeking an Application Engineer to support customers and project teams across a multi-state territory.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional design-only engineering role.
You will provide technical guidance and support to contractors, subcontractors, and project teams before and during the build phase — helping ensure products are applied correctly, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
This role involves a mix of remote technical support with occasional site interaction as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as a technical resource for contractors and project teams
- Provide guidance on product application, installation, and best practices
- Support customers by answering technical questions and clarifying project details
- Assist with reviewing drawings and ensuring alignment with product capabilities
- Troubleshoot project and field-related challenges
- Ensure compliance with U.S. building codes and standards
- Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and sales teams
What We’re Looking For
- Engineering degree with experience in cold-formed steel, light gauge framing, or structural systems
- PE designation or actively working toward licensure preferred
- Experience supporting contractors, customers, or project teams
- Strong understanding of construction practices and codes
- Clear communicator with a practical, solution-oriented approach
- Comfortable working in a remote role with occasional regional travel
