Mike brings a wealth of experience to his role of senior level recruitment within the Building Materials and Construction industry. Mike has over 13 years of focus on hiring Mid-Level to Executive Suite positions throughout North America. Whether it has been hiring a new General Manager for a client in Western Canada, an Operations Manager for a Distributor in Los Angeles, or a Lumber Trader based in Northern Alberta, Mike’s versatility and understanding of what is necessary for success in this business sector is crucial.

Providing Executive Search and Recruitment services to customers across Canada and the United States, Mike’s experience includes manufacturers and distributors of building materials, residential/commercial construction and build/design companies and contractors.
Corporations are acutely aware of the challenges involved in hiring well aligned professionals in these tough market segments. Mike has a success rate of over 85% in placement, and as importantly, retention of candidates, providing extremely high value to his group of trusted clients.

In addition to recruitment, Mike’s prior life involved managing high performance teams within Fortune 500 Corporations (Pfizer, Monsanto, Cardinal Health, and Dupont). He has learned what specific characteristics mandate success within companies. His roles have always involved recognizing, interviewing, and screening top performers to bring onboard his organizations. Mike has built a solid network of contacts throughout Western Canada and North America commanding a thorough knowledge of this marketplace and forging strong business friendships along the way.

Mike formally holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Manitoba. Away from work, Mike and his wife Kim are active members of the community, taking advantage of the ski hills, hiking trails, golf courses, and wineries of the area! (To any who will listen, Mike will also share his tales of exploit from numerous adventure-motorcycle tours across North America.) His three children are currently pursuing their university educations at UBCO, University of Alberta, and MacEwan University, keeping life busy and Mike gainfully employed.
