Executive Leadership | Confidential Search

DMC Recruitment is conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Executive Leader to take responsibility for the performance, people, and continued growth of an established organization within the commercial interiors industry.

This is a significant leadership opportunity for an experienced executive who understands the commercial furniture and workplace interiors market and is ready to take on full enterprise-level responsibility.

The successful candidate will have accountability for P&L performance, strategic planning, operational leadership, staff development, sales performance, and overall business growth. This individual will provide direction across the organization while helping shape and execute its next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

This role requires a leader who can balance strategy with execution.

You will be responsible for setting the direction of the business while remaining connected to its people, clients, market, and day-to-day performance. You will assess opportunities for continued improvement and growth and ensure the right people, processes, and accountability are in place to execute against the organization's objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Full ownership and accountability for the P&L, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and overall financial performance.
  • Developing and executing annual and longer-term strategic business plans.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the senior leadership team and broader organization.
  • Establishing clear goals, KPIs, accountability, and performance expectations across the business.
  • Evaluating organizational structure and ensuring the right talent is in place to support continued growth.
  • Building a strong culture focused on performance, collaboration, accountability, and employee development.
  • Providing leadership across sales, operations, project delivery, design, finance, and other core business functions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.
  • Supporting and strengthening relationships with key clients, manufacturers, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Working with commercial leadership to strengthen existing accounts and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Developing future leaders and creating meaningful succession and professional development opportunities throughout the organization.
  • Using financial and operational data to make informed decisions and proactively address business challenges.
Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for an established senior leader who understands how to run and grow a business—not simply one function within it.
The ideal candidate will bring:
  • Significant senior leadership experience within the commercial interiors, contract furniture, workplace solutions, architectural products, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a P&L and making decisions that directly impact revenue, profitability, and organizational performance.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic business plans.
  • A track record of building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams and future leaders.
  • The ability to create accountability while maintaining a collaborative and people-focused leadership style.
  • A strong understanding of sales, operations, project delivery, and the interconnected nature of a project-driven organization.
  • Experience leading organizations through growth, evolution, or change.
  • Strong industry relationships and market credibility.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset combined with the discipline required to lead an established organization.
The Opportunity Ahead You will be joining an established organization with a strong foundation, experienced team, and meaningful opportunity for continued growth. The mandate is to build on that foundation: strengthen the organization, develop its people, drive performance, and position the business for its next stage. For the right individual, this is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the direction of an established commercial interiors organization while taking on true enterprise-level leadership responsibility.

This search is being conducted on a strictly confidential basis. Additional information will be shared with qualified candidates as the process progresses.
