Procurement/ Purchasing Manager

We are partnering with a growing manufactured home builder with an indoor production facility serving Atlantic Canada. As the company continues to expand, they are looking for an experienced Procurement/Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing, supplier relationships, and materials planning. This role ensures building materials are sourced efficiently and delivered on time to support production. The Purchasing/ Procurement Manager will work closely with operations and production teams to maintain a reliable supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for building materials and equipment.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Develop procurement plans aligned with production timelines.
• Ensure materials meet quality standards and Nova Scotia building code requirements.
• Manage inventory levels and forecast material needs.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain procurement documentation and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Support sustainable and local sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications / Skills

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within building materials manufacturing.
• Knowledge of residential construction or modular/manufactured housing materials preferred.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills.
• Experience with inventory management and procurement planning.
• Understanding of construction/building materials, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
