You will play a key role in bringing design work to life. This position is focused on ability and desire to support architectural designers by being passionate, precise, and efficient at producing construction-ready documentation—including permit sets and coordination drawings.
You will work closely with architectural designers, and coordinate seamlessly with interior design and landscaping leads, ensuring drawings are buildable, complete, and aligned across disciplines. You'll also liaise directly with contractors during documentation and construction, helping resolve questions quickly and keeping projects moving forward.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Production & Drawing Excellence
- Produce and maintain high-quality construction drawings, including permit sets and issuance packages.
- Convert design intent into accurate, complete documentation that supports construction and reduces RFIs.
- Maintain consistency, clarity, and drafting standards across all drawing sets.
- Collaborate with architectural designers to implement revisions efficiently and correctly.
- Support the design team by ensuring technical details, drawing completeness, and documentation workflow are managed with care and speed.
- Apply strong construction understanding to recommend the most buildable, logical documentation approach.
- Liaise with contractors to support construction documentation needs.
- Assist with interpretation of drawings, respond to technical questions, and help coordinate change items when required.
- Support timely responses to field feedback to keep projects on schedule.
- Coordinate drawing requirements with interior design and landscape project leads.
- Ensure openings, finishes coordination, elevations/sections, and interface details are clearly documented.
- Support a seamless, cohesive integration of architecture, interior elements, and site design.
- Perform thorough checks for compliance, completeness, and drafting accuracy.
- Ensure documentation aligns with applicable codes, standards, and drawing requirements.
- Uphold quality and consistency across sets from first submission through final issuance.
- Diploma/degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent training.
- Proven experience producing construction drawings and permit sets for custom residential projects.
- 10+ years working on residential building systems and documentation requirements.
- Experience supporting architectural designers on large-scale custom homes/cottages (including projects up to ~20,000sf is an asset).
- Proficiency with architectural documentation tools, including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong drafting, coordination, and revision-tracking skills with a detail-first mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with a practical, solution-oriented approach for contractor liaison.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, workload, and shifting priorities while maintaining quality.
- Familiarity with sustainable building principles and/or green building requirements is an asset.
