SENIOR ARCHITECT / ASSOCIATE

Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 + Bonus
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are partnering with a well-established, design-focused architecture and planning studio in Edmonton to identify a Senior Architect / Associate. This firm is recognized for delivering complex, high-quality projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors, with a strong presence in developer-driven work throughout Alberta.
This role is ideal for a senior-level professional who excels in both design leadership and technical execution. You will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary project teams, overseeing delivery across all phases, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients. The position offers a balance of design input, project oversight, and strategic involvement in client relationships and business growth.
You will work closely with leadership on major projects, contributing to both design direction and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on budget, and to a high standard of quality.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; AAA registration (or eligibility) required
- 10+ years of experience within the Canadian architecture industry
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience across residential, commercial, and/or mixed-use projects
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept through construction, with a strong grasp of technical detailing and documentation
- Experience working on developer-led projects is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and manage client relationships
- Involvement in business development, proposals, and client engagement is an asset
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Building Code, local zoning bylaws, and permitting processes
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Enscape, Lumion)
