Inside Sales Representative

Seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to join a team in a fast-paced environment. The products of this metals & building materials distributor are in high demand across multiple industries including manufacturing, agriculture, construction, industrial, service centres, fabrication, MRO etc.

Ideal for a high energy individual who is looking for an opportunity to build a career and be highly rewarded for their efforts.

This role offers a unique chance to impact branch growth, deepen product knowledge, and build client relationships with existing contacts and strategically drive new business. Opportunity for internal development are a core value at the center of this business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with customers on orders, evaluate needs, propose solutions, explore cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Negotiate quotations with key prospects and customers to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to stand out from competitors.
  • Communicate with internal cross functional departments and work collaboratively on continuous improvement.
  • Identify potential opportunities in strategic markets, contributing to overall sales growth.
  • Contribute to accurate and on-time shipments.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage client interactions and optimize personal productivity.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial attitude to the role.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years experience inside sales, order desk or customer service combined with practical knowledge of building materials, metals, or building construction highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers to earn repeat business.
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strong math skills, time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent people skills with commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base relevant to customers needs.
