Our client, a well-established and growing organization within the building materials sector, is seeking an Technical Sales Representative to manage a territory across Alberta and British Columbia.

This is a technical, project-driven sales role working directly with General Contractors, builders, and project teams across industrial, commercial, agricultural and some residential construction.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage and grow an existing base of contractor and project accounts (≈70%)
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities and relationships (≈30%)
  • Review drawings and complete material takeoffs to support project quoting
  • Provide technical product guidance and application support
  • Engage early in the project cycle to help influence product selection and outcomes
  • Travel across the territory to maintain relationships and drive growth (~60-75%)
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in building materials, construction products, or building systems
  • Experience working with contractors in project-based environments
  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret specs, and perform takeoffs
  • Strong relationship management skills with a farmer mindset and growth focus
  • Proven ability to manage a large territory independently
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable in a technical sales role
  • Willingness to travel across Eastern & Northern Ontario (~60-70%)
Ideal Background - Highly Preferred
  • Experience with building envelope, insulation, cladding, waterproofing, or related systems
  • Exposure to tenders, estimating, or specification-driven sales
  • Experience across industrial, commercial, or agricultural construction
