Annie is an experienced Recruiter with a proven track record of success within the Architecture, Design, and Construction industry. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.Annie also has 14 years of experience in Vancouver, BC as a Commercial Interior Designer, specializing in Workplace and Financial Institutions. With Annie’s experience and well-developed network of industry professionals in both Commercial and Residential sectors, she not only has the technical design knowledge, hands-on project experience, she also has the deep-rooted connections within the market needed to develop exceptional client and candidate relationships.Annie puts her design expertise and industry network to use on a variety of search engagements in the Architecture and Design industry. IDEAL CANDIDATE

Our Client is rapidly growing their close-knit and talented team. They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Interior Designer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of initiative with a passion for design excellence, project management, and client communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing projects, collaborating with a diverse team, and maintaining consistent client communication throughout all project phases.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage projects from space planning to construction administration.
  • Participate in all project phases, including conceptual design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Support fellow Designers & Construction Managers at client meetings and at site measures as required.
  • Create CAD drawings for permit, tender, and construction packages, including drafting floor plans, elevations, millwork, and details.
  • Manage projects and communicate regularly with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
  • Contribute to the selection and presentation of furniture, material palettes, light fixtures, and equipment.
  • Produce graphic presentations, including 3D renderings, for client presentations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, details, and specifications.
  • Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections.
  • Establish relationships with local vendors and develop an understanding of product offerings.
  • Contribute to office and firm culture.
  • Mentoring of junior or entry level personnel
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program.
  • 7-10 years of experience working with a recognized Interior Design or Architectural firm.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Windows (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and Sketch-up.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Close attention to detail and technical abilities.
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, and specifications.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Self-directed, able to work individually and in a team setting.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Preferred: NCIDQ completion.
