Annie is an experienced Recruiter with a proven track record of success within the Architecture, Design, and Construction industry. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.Annie also has 14 years of experience in Vancouver, BC as a Commercial Interior Designer, specializing in Workplace and Financial Institutions. With Annie’s experience and well-developed network of industry professionals in both Commercial and Residential sectors, she not only has the technical design knowledge, hands-on project experience, she also has the deep-rooted connections within the market needed to develop exceptional client and candidate relationships.Annie puts her design expertise and industry network to use on a variety of search engagements in the Architecture and Design industry. She has successfully placed positions within both small and large architecture and design firms, including Junior - Senior Interior Designers and Architects as well as Project Coordinators and Project Manager that have established a strong retention rate with the Clients she has placed with.Annie works personally and professionally with both her clients and candidates, creating long-term relationships with key players in the Architecture & Design industries. She is an active member in the Architecture & Design community and regularly attends industry networking events. As a Member of Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia, Annie is constantly developing her skill set and design knowledge to align with the ever-changing market. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Our Client is looking for a Senior HR Assistant to join our team and help establish essential HR processes and support daily functions. This position is ideal for a proactive and adaptable HR professional who thrives in a hands-on role, balancing both strategic and day-to-day responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity to grow within the organization, with the potential for career advancement over time.
  • 4 to 7+ years of HR experience in an HR Assistant or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of employment standards, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work culture.
  • Highly adaptable, self-driven, and eager to take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Experience in the architecture, design, or related industries is an asset but not required.
  • CPHR designation is an asset but not required. 
  • Relevant education in Human Resource is preferred.
ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Support the development and maintenance of HR policies, including the Employee Handbook, ensuring compliance with employment laws and standards.
  • Assist with employee contracts, benefits administration, and performance review documentation.
  • Provide guidance on employment standards and best HR practices to leadership and employees.
  • Work closely with Director of Finance to shift responsibilities and establish efficient HR functions.
  • Help with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate communication, and interview coordination.
  • Support HR strategy initiatives while also handling daily HR administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a positive, people-focused culture, ensuring that HR is a resource for employees and managers.
  • Serve as a strong communicator and approachable HR representative for employees and leadership.
