You will play a key role in shaping the look, feel, and function of our high-end residential interiors by designing and sourcing furniture and decor that bring each client's vision to life. Key ResponsibilitiesInterior Styling, Furniture Design & Curation
- Create cohesive interior styling concepts that align with the overall design direction.
- Design and/or source furniture selections that fit the space, lifestyle, and luxury expectations.
- Develop palettes, materials, and finishes that feel elevated, timeless, and intentional.
- Coordinate scale, proportion, and layout considerations to ensure furniture layouts are functional and visually balanced.
- Prepare furniture and decor documentation packages for implementation, including selection lists and specifications.
- Ensure all selections are clearly communicated and organized for smooth purchasing and installation.
- Support consistency across the project by maintaining organized schedules and keeping selections aligned with plans and timelines.
- Work closely with the interior design project lead to implement furniture, decor, and interior detailing.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure selections can be installed as specified and are schedule-friendly.
- Coordinate with architectural and technologist teams to confirm clearances, interfaces, and built-in requirements where applicable.
- Participate in client-facing meetings as needed, presenting options clearly and professionally.
- Build strong client relationships through thoughtful recommendations, responsive communication, and attention to detail.
- Maintain high standards for quality in selections, finish coordination, and final presentation.
- Track revisions, alternatives, and procurement needs efficiently to avoid delays.
- Proactively identify issues early (lead times, substitutions, compatibility with the design) and help drive solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in interior decorating and/or furniture design for high-end residential projects (cottage or luxury custom home experience is an asset).
- Strong ability to develop cohesive interior styling concepts and furniture arrangements that feel intentional and polished.
- Demonstrated skill in furniture selection, sourcing, and specification for real-world installation.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, installers, and vendors to ensure items can be delivered and implemented as planned.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, textiles, and how they perform in residential environments.
- Proficiency with common design tools (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit is an asset; presentation boards and procurement tools are also helpful).
- Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail—especially when managing multiple rooms or phases.
