THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Senior Director, Urban Planning will have excellent experience wokring with planning and policy development wihtin the Ontario region. With a strong background in developing policies, working wiht devleopers and understanding the Provincial and Federal regulations around planning and urban planning proceses, this individual will lead the Urban Planning department for the company. With 3 other leaders in the planning and landscape architecture space the Senior Director of Urban Planning will help build strategies around urban planning principles that are sustainable, environmentally supportive, detailed around placemaking and development and that are created for the enahncement of the public realm.
This candidate will have the following aspects;
- B.Deg - Urban Geography, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture
- Master's in Urban Planning
- 10+ years working within an Urban Planning environment with expeirence in private and/or public sector within Ontario
- 5+ years leading teams in the Urban Planning and Design sector
- Excellent technical knowledge and design experience within the industry with experience working in a consulting environment
- Portfolio of projects based in Ontario that are specific to Urban Planning/Planning Development
- Experience developing policies, planning practices and understanding the devleopment and permit processes
- Detailed approach to project management with an entrepreneurial mindset in developing a team and leading projects forward through to completion
- High energy, innovative thinking and a dynamic approach to design and planning a must
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
