Our client is seeking a
Sales Specialist to join their busy
Pro Desk Team. The ideal candidate is self-driven and eager to further their skills in the
Building Materials Industry and work with walk-in contractors, tradespeople and DIY customers. There will be an opportunity from time-to-time, to visit contractors on job sites and represent the company in the builder community.
This full-time permanent position offers comprehensive benefits, store discount and training. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Requirements:- Practical knowledge of building materials and lumber products
- Excellent people skills with commitment to a high level of customer service
- Experience working with contractors/tradespeople, and diy customers
- A general understanding of building packages, renovation projects and preparing estimates
- Eagerness to learn products relevant to customers needs
- Merchandising and maintains efficient flow of merchandise from backroom to sales floor
- Success driving sales and meeting quotas
- Proven ability to build relationships with customers to earn repeat business
Qualifications: - 1-2 years experience in building materials industry
- Lumber or Contractor Sales experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Comfortable working with computers.
