Job Title: Sales / Estimator – Doors & Hardware (Multifamily)
Location: Port Kells, BC
Industry: Building Materials / Finishing Products
Reports To: Sales Manager
Compensation: 90,000 to 100,000 (Base +Commission) + Vehicle or Car Allowance

About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Sales / Estimator with strong knowledge of doors, frames, and hardware in a multifamily construction setting. This role requires someone who can immediately step in with technical expertise—covering fire-rated metal doors and frames, commercial hardware, residential suite doors, and bath hardware—to manage sales, quoting, and project coordination from start to finish.

This is primarily an office-based position (approx. 80%), with site visits as needed (20%) to support active projects, attend walkthroughs, and provide technical guidance. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of sales, estimating, and project management experience to ensure builders and contractors receive the right solutions, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage sales and client relationships across multifamily projects, focusing on doors, frames, and hardware packages.
  • Review drawings and specifications, perform takeoffs, and prepare accurate estimates and quotes.
  • Provide product knowledge and technical support on fire-rated doors, frames, commercial hardware, residential suite packages, and bath hardware.
  • Coordinate orders with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Attend site visits and walkthroughs to resolve issues and support installation requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, and project managers.
  • Develop new business opportunities while ensuring existing accounts are serviced at a high level.
Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales, estimating, or project management specifically within doors, hardware, and frames.
  • Solid understanding of multifamily construction applications; able to read blueprints and perform takeoffs with accuracy.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire-rated doors, frames, and hardware systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a relationship-focused approach.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site travel.
Why Join: This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company that is highly active in the multifamily construction market. You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team where your technical expertise and client-focused approach will make a direct impact on project success.
