Searching for a Sales Manager on behalf of one of North America's most recognized names in premium surface materials. Our client is a well-established importer and distributor of natural stone, ceramic tile, hardwood, and engineered slabs, with a strong retail and commercial presence across Canada and the United States.

They are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead their Architectural & Design (A&D) and builder development efforts across Ontario.

The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership role for a relationship-driven sales professional who knows the specification sales world inside and out. You'll inherit a talented team, a strong brand, and an impressive product portfolio — and you'll be expected to take it further.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for growing the A&D channel, deepening builder and developer relationships, and driving project-based sales from concept through to close.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing the A&D sales team and builder development representatives
  • Setting performance targets and sales objectives aligned with the company's growth strategy
  • Building and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, builders, developers, and contractors
  • Driving product specifications into projects and managing pipelines from design stage to final order
  • Identifying and developing new builder and developer partnerships
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and sales support teams
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and new project opportunities
  • Representing the brand at industry events and through client presentations
  • Providing leadership with market insights and strategic growth recommendations
  • Supporting post-sale customer service including deliveries, warranties, and deficiency claims
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in construction, building materials, or specification sales
  • Experience engaging with architects, designers, builders, or developers
  • Knowledge of the stone, tile, or building materials industry is a strong asset
  • Proven experience in a leadership or sales management capacity
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • A college diploma or university degree in Business, Project Management, Architecture, or Interior Design
