Regional Sales Manager - Commercial Sales
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic sales objectives for the western region, by supporting the overall North American strategy
  • Support North American sales programs, and satellite project by developing individual sales goals and local market strategies in each province/territory.
  • Direct sales to execute the company sales philosophy and process to ensure a high standard of relationship selling for growth in core segments
  • Create and maintain a sales culture focused on delivering results by providing ongoing coaching, mentoring and development of technical sales advisors. To initiate corrective actions as needed for a successful high performing team
  • Identify business potential and ensure its development in existing and/or new markets to achieve sales targets and market share.
  • Encourage accountability of sales by executing weekly team huddles, monthly CRM project meetings, quarterly target development meetings and yearly performance reviews
  • Deliver regular communication to National Sales Manager regarding feedback from the field on products, market, including respective competition activities to identify and evaluate trends and developments as early as possible.
  • Meet with larger target accounts to discuss customer needs, assess the quality of our relationship, and develop ways to support Forbo value proposition
 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline or 5+ years of related business development experience in the construction industry and 2+ years sales management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in managing larger projects with longer sales cycles, in both private and public sectors.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents, and construction drawings and documents. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Essential to have a working knowledge of construction industry, players, and processes, in Western Canada
  • Preference to be based in Vancouver/Calgary but open to other Western Canadian cities based on strength of candidate profile
  • Must be able to travel the entire western territory on a continual basis
  • Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management and team members in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously, efficiently, and effectively managing a diversified workload and challenging situations.
  • Must thrive on building lasting customer relationships that develop into sales and growth in the territory.
  • Be an active, engaged team player with an entrepreneurial spirit, resulting in positive contribution to the national sales results.
