DMC is working with a glazing contractor in the Greater Toronto Area specializing in glass installation, replacement, and repair for commercial, industrial, and high-end residential buildings.

Our client is growing and looking for a Project Manager/Estimator to join their team in Toronto. Office + on site position.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure clear communication when developing and evaluating scope of work documentation and fully understanding project requirements.
• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment using contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and project specifications.
• Interpret architectural and construction drawings to determine quantities and develop accurate project estimates.
• Manage project documentation, including preparing and issuing quotes, coordinating drawing revisions, and updating scopes of work based on client requirements.
• Monitor project progress regularly and maintain professional communication with clients through phone and email updates.
• Organize project commencement and closeout documentation, including permits, drawings, manuals, and warranties.
• Utilize internal software systems to document project information, generate purchase orders, and provide project initiation documentation to project managers.
• Analyze completed projects by comparing estimated costs with actual expenses to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Apply analytical problem-solving to address challenges that arise during project execution.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrated experience working on small to mid-sized glazing projects, with a solid understanding of glass installation, replacement, and façade systems.
• Proven estimating and project management experience, with the ability to manage project scope, timelines, and cost considerations effectively.
• Strong client relationship management skills, with the confidence to work directly with Operations Managers, Property Managers, and other stakeholders.
• Solid technical knowledge of construction and glazing systems, with the ability to review drawings, interpret specifications, and collaborate with technical teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing responsibilities independently.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a professional and solutions-focused approach when working with clients and internal teams.

Compensation and Benefits:
$90-100k base salary depending on experience + bonus + vacation
