Our client, a well-established and growing organization within the building materials sector, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of a high-potential Ontario territory.
This role is best suited for a proven sales professional who understands the construction supply chain, is comfortable operating independently, and has a track record of building strong relationships with dealers and distributors. You will be responsible for both maintaining existing accounts and driving new business growth across the region.

What You'll Be Doing
Territory Ownership & Account Management
- Manage and grow an established base of dealer and distributor accounts
- Develop new business opportunities within lumberyards, gypsum dealers, and building product distributors
- Conduct regular in-person visits to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities
- Represent the organization at industry events and association meetings
- Drive consistent revenue growth across the territory
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to customers and partners
- Execute on sales plans and meet or exceed established performance targets
- Maintain a strong understanding of local market dynamics, competitor activity, and pricing trends
- Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline updates, and call reporting
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers across product lines
- Support product selection, application questions, and inventory planning
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of outside sales experience within building materials or construction products
- Proven success selling through dealer/distributor channels
- Demonstrated ability to grow a territory and manage key accounts independently
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Comfortable with extensive travel across Ontario
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office
- Experience with insulation, framing components, air & vapor barriers, or related building products, an asset
