Our client is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to focus on sales to contractors, home builders, and renovators in Winnipeg and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in construction or building materials sales and a strong understanding of the local market. This is a hunter role, best suited for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on building new business while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Outside Sales Representative focused on contractor sales in the Winnipeg area. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in construction or building materials sales and a solid understanding of the local contractor market. This is a hunter role, best suited for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on building new business while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new contractor accounts across Winnipeg and nearby rural areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, renovators, and general contractors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical product support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate quotes and timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions.
  • Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and competitor activity.
Specifics:
  • Selling to contractors, GCs, and renovators in Winnipeg and surrounding regions.
  • Supplying full building packages including lumber, trusses, windows, doors, shingles, plywood, and interiors.
  • Proactive hunter-style sales approach with strong territory management skills.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of outside sales experience in construction or building materials.
  • Strong knowledge of the Winnipeg contractor market.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage existing accounts.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.
