Outside Sales Representative, Masonry and Building Materials

Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON (travel across Southern Ontario)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation:
Base Salary: $70,000 to $90,000
Variable Commission: $30,000 to $60,000+ (uncapped)
Total Target Earnings: $100,000 to $150,000+
Additional: Car allowance or vehicle program, mileage reimbursement, benefits, paid vacation

Overview
Our client is a well established manufacturer and distributor of premium masonry and architectural building products, supplying contractors, builders, and developers across Ontario. With a strong reputation in the market and a growing product offering, they are continuing to invest in their sales team to support expansion.

This is a newly created role driven by growth. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business, expanding market share, and building long term relationships with masonry contractors, general contractors, and developers across the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities with masonry contractors, builders, developers, and general contractors
  • Build and grow relationships within the masonry and construction community
  • Identify and secure project opportunities from early stages through to completion
  • Conduct regular site visits, customer meetings, and project follow ups
  • Promote and position architectural masonry products including brick, stone, and related systems
  • Work closely with estimating, inside sales, and operations to support accurate quoting and execution
  • Track project pipelines, customer activity, and sales forecasts
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
  • Deliver product presentations and support specification efforts with contractors and project stakeholders
Qualifications
  • 3 to 10 plus years of outside sales experience within masonry, building materials, or construction products
  • Established relationships with masonry contractors and construction professionals in Ontario
  • Strong understanding of the masonry segment including brick, stone, and related materials
  • Proven track record of developing new business and growing a territory
  • Self starter with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across the territory
Preferred
  • Experience selling architectural or premium masonry products
  • Background working for a manufacturer or distributor within the building materials industry
  • Familiarity with drawings, specifications, and project driven sales cycles
Work Environment
  • Field based role covering the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario
  • Regular travel for job site visits, client meetings, and industry engagement
