DMC Recruitment is partnering with a growing glazing contractor in the Greater Toronto Area specializing in glass installation, replacement and service work across commerical projects.

Our client is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1+ years of estimating and glazing experience to join a growing team.

This role is focused entirely on estimating service projects, with the opportunity to grow into project management in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project requirements.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for service projects.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing bid submissions, quotations, and project proposals.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to identify project scope and requirements.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, and bid documentation.
• Work closely with senior estimators and management to develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and clients to gather information required for accurate estimates.
• Support post-bid reviews and project handovers to operations teams.
• Assist with cost analysis and estimate tracking to continuously improve pricing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in estimating within a glazing role. Commerical experience a must.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office software.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the construction industry.

Compensation

• $50,000–$60,000 base salary depending on experience
