The Right Fit

The Junior Development Manager reports to the VP Development. The role manages projects from concept through completion with a focus on planning, design, financial modeling, and municipal work. You bring a clear workflow style, strong communication, and comfort leading consultants. Growth into senior development responsibility is available for strong performers.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Identify and assess development and redevelopment opportunities
  • Complete feasibility studies, proformas, cash flows, and schedules
  • Manage planning and design from concept to occupancy
  • Coordinate consultants and internal teams
  • Lead municipal engagement and approval processes
  • Prepare approval requests and Investment Committee packages
  • Support financing, incentives, and partnership structures
  • Track budgets, schedules, ROI targets, and monthly reporting
  • Liaise with construction, accounting, asset management, and operations
  • Represent the company in hearings and community meetings
  • Provide support to junior development staff
  • Track planning policy changes and emerging programs
What You Bring to the Table
  • Five to eight years in real estate development
  • Strong financial modeling and proforma skills
  • Experience with municipal approvals, planning, and design coordination
  • Proven ability to lead consultants
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Degree in real estate, planning, engineering, finance, or related field
