Are you an experienced Inside Sales Representative who enjoys working with customers, solving problems and finding opportunities to grow business?

Our client is a leading Canadian industrial distributor specializing in industrial & metal products. They are looking for a customer-focused, commercially minded Inside Sales Representative to join their experienced Calgary team.

This is more than an order desk role. You'll manage established customer relationships, prepare quotations, coordinate orders and work closely with customers to understand their requirements and identify opportunities to provide additional products and solutions.

What You'll Do

• Manage and develop relationships with external and internal customers including working closely with other branches
• Respond to inquiries and prepare accurate, competitive quotations
• Process and coordinate customer orders from quote through delivery
• Provide product, pricing, inventory and availability information
• Work closely with vendors, outside sales, purchasing, warehouse and operations
• Help customers identify appropriate product and processing solutions
• Build relationships with fabricators, manufacturers, OEMs and industrial customers
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business
• Develop strong technical knowledge of steel and metal products

We're looking for someone who combines excellent customer service with strong commercial instincts.

You understand that an incoming inquiry isn't simply an order to process. You ask questions, understand what the customer needs and look for opportunities to provide the right solution and grow the relationship.

You'll bring:

• Previous B2B inside sales, customer service or account management experience
• Experience preparing quotations, processing orders and supporting customers
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Confidence discussing pricing and following up on quotations
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organization and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple customer requirements and priorities
• A proactive, responsive approach to customer service
• Interest in developing strong technical product knowledge

Experience in metals, fabrication or industrial distribution is an asset. We are also interested in candidates from manufacturing, construction products, industrial supply, building materials or other technical product environments.
