Are you looking for a hands-on Health & Safety role where you can make an impact across multiple industrial operations?

We're recruiting a Health & Safety Coordinator to support multiple operations in Winnipeg.

This is a true 50/50 floor and desk role. You'll be visible in the operation working with employees and supervisors while also keeping the documentation, training, certifications and reporting behind the H&S program on track.

The corporate programs and SOPs are already established. Your role is to ensure they're consistently executed at the local level and meet Manitoba Health & Safety requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Coordinate day-to-day Health & Safety activities across multiple locations
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and hazard assessments
• Maintain H&S records, training documentation and equipment certifications
• Coordinate safety training and lead toolbox meetings and safety initiatives
• Chair Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings
• Participate in incident investigations and follow corrective actions through completion
• Coordinate third-party industrial hygiene testing
• Support emergency response and fire-prevention activities
• Track and report H&S performance information and metrics
• Support environmental reporting and established Quality processes
• Work closely with employees, supervisors, branch leadership and regional H&S resources

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Practical Health & Safety experience in an industrial environment.
• Relevant backgrounds include: Manufacturing | Fabrication | Warehousing | Distribution | Industrial Operations
• Knowledge of Manitoba Health & Safety legislation and experience with inspections, audits, hazard assessments, incident investigations, training and regulatory compliance.
• Comfortable on the floor and behind the desk and can build credibility with employees and supervisors while keeping documentation and follow-up organized.
• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related field is preferred. Safety training certifications are an asset.
