Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is ideal for a hands-on, analytically strong finance professional who enjoys working close to the business and building structure in a fast-moving environment.

You will play a key role in developing financial insight, improving reporting capability, and supporting the evolution of a modern, data-driven finance function across multiple operating entities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to go beyond reporting and help build the analytical and systems foundation of a scaling organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver regular performance reporting and analysis across sales, margin, and operational KPIs, with a focus on identifying trends, drivers, and exceptions
  • Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight for leadership and operational teams
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and rolling financial outlooks across multiple business units in a high-growth environment
  • Contribute to monthly management reporting packages used by senior leadership to assess performance, cash flow, and business health
  • Analyze working capital, cash flow trends, and key operational metrics to support short- and long-term decision-making
  • Partner with operations teams to understand business drivers and improve the quality and consistency of performance reporting
  • Support the development and enhancement of BI dashboards and automated reporting tools (Power BI, Power Query, and related systems)
  • Help transition reporting processes from manual, Excel-heavy workflows toward more scalable, automated solutions
  • Support integration of newly acquired businesses into standardized reporting, KPI frameworks, and forecasting models
  • Assist with improving data integrity, consistency, and structure across multiple systems and entities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across FP&A, reporting processes, and finance systems
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support to the Director of Finance and senior leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS
  • CPA designation or equivalent accounting/finance background preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or business intelligence roles
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power Query experience considered a strong asset
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a multi-entity, fast-paced, and evolving environment
  • Strong ability to translate data into insight and communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders
  • High attention to detail combined with strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in retail, distribution, or multi-location operations considered an asset
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset

WHY THIS ROLE
  • High visibility role working directly with finance leadership and operations
  • Opportunity to help build a modern FP&A and BI function from the ground up
  • Significant exposure to acquisitions, integration, and multi-entity complexity
  • Strong focus on automation, systems improvement, and analytics evolution
  • Direct impact on how the business measures performance and makes decisions
  • Long-term growth opportunity in a scaling, acquisition-driven organization

If you're an analytically minded finance professional who enjoys building structure, improving reporting, and influencing business decisions in a fast-growing environment, I’d welcome a confidential conversation.
