Location: Remote within Alberta
Compensation: $110,000 to $130,000 plus vacation and health spending account
Travel: Approximately 30 to 40 nights per year within Alberta

Our client is a well established, province wide industry association representing stakeholders across the structural building components and lumber sector, with strong ties to the residential construction and home building industry.

They are seeking an Executive Officer to lead the Association forward by driving government advocacy, securing grant funding, expanding membership, and developing programs that support the evolving needs of Alberta's home building and construction sector.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role is the driving force behind the Association's strategy and execution. You will be responsible for strengthening the industry's voice with government, identifying and securing funding opportunities, growing membership, and building programs that deliver real value to members.

This role will also play a key part in advancing industry standards through the development and implementation of quality control and safety programs that support members across the province, while identifying opportunities to integrate new technologies and innovation into the industry.

While direct experience within the structural building components or truss industry is an asset, it is not a requirement. What is critical is a strong interest in learning the industry, particularly the design and engineering side of the business, and the ability to quickly build credibility with members.

This will involve working closely with member companies, including time spent with truss plants and industry partners, to better understand operational challenges, design considerations, and evolving technical requirements across the sector.

This is a highly autonomous role, ideal for someone who understands the broader construction landscape, knows how to navigate government, and is motivated by influencing change across the industry.
