On behalf of our client, a premier destination in the Edmonton hospitality market, we are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Event Sales Manager to lead the growth of their event portfolio. This is a pivotal role designed for a strategic individual who excels at business development and is passionate about the events and hospitality industry.

While the client has a strong foundation in weddings and social gatherings, this role has a strong focus on expanding their footprint into the corporate events market. You will work directly with the General Manager to design, refine, and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that elevates the brand and fills the calendar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and secure new corporate accounts, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to create and implement sales strategies that maximize venue occupancy and revenue.
  • Utilize modern sales techniques and industry networking to promote the venue as a premier destination for both corporate functions and weddings.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless transition from the initial inquiry to the day of the event.
  • While standard hours are typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, you will be expected to maintain a flexible schedule to personally greet clients and oversee the kickoff of booked evening and weekend events.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2–3 years of proven sales experience within the events or hospitality industry.
  • A strong background in business development with a self-starter mentality.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop a roadmap for corporate growth.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate and work as a team with other factions of venue staff, as well as nurture and develop client relationships.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 base salary (commensurate with experience), plus performance-based bonus structure tied to sales targets.
