Our client, a well-established and highly respected leader in the electrical distribution and industrial solutions space, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in Northern Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, uncovering new opportunities, managing major projects, and building long-term relationships with contractors, EPCs, consulting engineers, industrial end users, utilities, and mining customers.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive business growth by identifying and developing new industrial and commercial opportunities across Northern Ontario
- Build strong relationships with contractors, consulting engineers, EPCs, mines, utilities, telecom organizations, and key decision-makers
- Manage project opportunities from early-stage specification through quotation, bidding, and project execution
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, operations, purchasing, and vendor partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Stay ahead of market trends, project developments, and competitive activity to uncover strategic opportunities
- Represent the organization through customer visits, presentations, trade shows, networking events, and industry engagement
- Utilize CRM and ERP tools to manage pipelines, track opportunities, and support forecasting and reporting
- Deliver best-in-class customer service while growing existing accounts and developing new business relationships
- Proven experience in business development, industrial sales, technical sales, or account management
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills with a hunter mentality
- Experience within the electrical, industrial, construction, mining, utility, or distribution sectors is considered a major asset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Technically minded with the ability to learn products and applications quickly
- Experience preparing quotations, project bids, and customer presentations
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel throughout Northern Ontario - 75% travel
