Business Development Manager

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 base + uncapped commissions + car allowance + benefits

With continued growth across the GTA, they are looking to bring on a driven Business Development professional to expand their presence within the architecture and design community.
THE ROLE
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business across both contract furniture and architectural interior solutions (including walls, workplace systems, and related products). This is a client-facing, relationship-driven role focused on building long-term partnerships within the A&D and commercial real estate community.
You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, securing specifications, and working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan targeting the GTA market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, end users, and general contractors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across furniture and architectural interiors projects
- Drive product specification and positioning within the A&D community
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close
- Collaborate with internal teams including design, project management, and leadership
- Stay informed on industry trends, workplace strategy, and competitive landscape
- 3–7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within contract furniture, architectural interiors, or related industries
- Strong network within the GTA A&D community is highly preferred
- Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals
- Experience working with furniture dealerships, manufacturers, or architectural product lines (walls, flooring, lighting, etc.) is an asset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
