Location: Remote (Mid-West Ideal)

You'll own the full sales cycle, develop new business, and expand market presence with developers, architects, engineers, and general contractors in the AEC community. This role blends strategic prospecting with technical storytelling to win complex projects and grow revenue.

Key responsibilities:
  • Proactively hunt and close new business opportunities in targeted construction markets; manage a personal portfolio with a quota.
  • Drive early-stage engagement with developers, architects, engineers, and GCs to influence design and material selection.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from outreach through contract execution.
  • Position our CLT product as a differentiated, value-driven solution in hybrid and full-mass timber systems.
  • Negotiate terms to meet margin and capacity objectives.
  • Build and maintain a robust multi-stage pipeline; accelerate outbound efforts (cold outreach, referrals, networking).
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts through preconstruction and early project phases.
  • Collaborate with estimating and engineering to develop budgets, design guidance, and technical proposals.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records; monitor KPIs (pipeline value, close rate, sales cycle, revenue attainment).
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to generate leads.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years in progressive sales with a strong emphasis on new business development and closing technical sales.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience in structural building materials, commercial construction, or mass timber preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in long-cycle, consultative sales with multiple decision-makers.
  • CRM proficiency; data-driven sales management.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and executive-level communication skills.
  • High activity level with disciplined pipeline management; entrepreneurial, competitive mindset.
