DMC is working with a glazing/door contractor in the Greater Toronto Area specializing in glass and door installation, replacement, and repair for commercial, industrial, and high-end residential buildings.

Our client is searching for a Automatic Door Installer/Servicer to join their team in the Greater Toronto Area.

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automatic door systems across commercial, high-end residential and institutional buildings. As much of the work takes place in active, occupied buildings, this position requires a professional individual who is comfortable interacting directly with clients and building staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair automatic door systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on automatic entrances, operators, and related components.
  • Work in active commercial buildings, coordinating work with property managers, building staff, and clients.
  • Respond to service calls and occasional emergency repairs to minimize downtime for building occupants.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of stock, materials, and parts, ensuring necessary components are available for service and installations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, providing updates and explaining service requirements when needed.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and building regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of service work, materials used, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience installing or servicing automatic door systems or related equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple service tasks and priorities.
  • Professional, client-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in occupied buildings and client-facing environments.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to track materials and maintain service inventory.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
