Sales & Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional, hands-on customer service, setting the standard for your team.
- Identify and capitalize on large sales opportunities, especially with contractors.
- Monitor and improve the quality of customer interactions.
- Support sales initiatives through innovative advertising and promotional ideas.
- Introduce and evaluate the success of new products in the market.
- Provide strong, supportive leadership to train and mentor employees alongside the Store Manager.
- Assist in building a cohesive team through recruitment and professional development.
- Conduct coaching sessions, performance reviews, and assist in managing disciplinary actions.
- Participate in and help lead monthly staff meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Assist in monitoring and controlling inventory levels and operational expenses.
- Ensure health and safety compliance across all operations.
- Oversee transactions, including daily sales, returns, costs, and expenses.
- Respond to store emergencies as a keyholder.
- Industry Expertise: Minimum 3 years of experience in the lumber and building materials (LBM) industry.
- Retail Management: At least 2 years in a retail leadership or supervisory role.
- Sales Savvy: Ability to source, identify, and sell building materials effectively.
- Commitment: Must be a permanent resident of Canada.
- Actively engage with the local community to grow the business.
- Work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
- Stand for extended periods and occasionally handle environmental conditions like wood dust, debris, and outdoor weather.
